New Computer + FF VII(I)

I got a new computer recently and I was very annoyed to find that Final Fantasy's VII and VIII don't work on it. They Both just show black screens when I start them up.
I was just wondering if anyone else had a similar problem or if anyone knew how to fix it.
TY

FF7 works in Vista if you download a patch for it. FF8 is probably the same way, though I don't have it. (These are Windows 95 games, remember. XD)

RE: New Computer + FF VII(I)

I have Vista and FFVII runs fine without any patches, albeit closing randomly if played too long. I think your problem is that integrated graphics card. Thos are good for nothing, and render most games unplayable. They take memory away from the RAM and use it for the graphics, and it screws the PC up. Im guessing your running a laptop?
